A linear motion shale shaker consists of several key components, each contributing to the overall separation performance and reliability. Aipu Solids Control designs and manufactures each component to meet the demanding requirements of continuous drilling operations.

The vibrating basket is the central structural component, a rigid frame that supports the screen panels and vibrating motors while withstanding continuous high-G vibration. Aipu constructs baskets from heavy-gauge structural steel with full-penetration welding at critical joints and post-weld heat treatment to relieve residual stresses. Finite element analysis validates structural designs for the 6.0G to 7.5G operating range. Precision-machined motor mounting surfaces ensure exact alignment for balanced vibration. The basket must maintain rigidity for years of continuous operation without developing fatigue cracks, and Aipu’s design and manufacturing practices ensure this durability.
Vibrating motors are the power source and the most critical component for performance consistency. Aipu uses premium-brand motors from Ital-Vibras, Martin, and Oli—manufacturers with proven track records in industrial vibration applications. Each motor contains eccentric weights that can be adjusted to vary the vibration force, and motors are always replaced in matched pairs to maintain balanced operation. Motor bearings are selected for the specific G-force rating and service life requirements of continuous drilling operations. Power consumption and electrical configuration depend on the specific model and customer requirements, with explosion-proof options available for hazardous area installations.
Screen panels are the separation medium, available in mesh sizes from API 40 through API 200. Aipu provides both stainless steel and composite frame options with API RP 13C certified mesh. The quick-change retention system allows complete screen replacement in minutes. Screen support rails must be flat and parallel to ensure uniform screen tension, and Aipu’s precision fabrication practices ensure this critical quality requirement.
The feed system distributes incoming drilling fluid evenly across the screen width. Aipu designs feed boxes or headers based on the specific model and flow rate, with options including weir-type distributions for uniform flow and bypass provisions for emergency situations. Support components including vibration isolation springs or mounts, the collection sump or pan beneath the screens for recovered drilling fluid, and the electrical control system with motor starters and safety interlocks complete the shaker assembly.
All components are manufactured and assembled in Aipu’s 50,000 square meter Xi’an facility under API Q1 certified quality management, with complete factory acceptance testing before shipment.
