Drilling programs pass through distinct phases, each with different solids control requirements. The surface hole phase generates the largest cuttings volumes and highest flow rates, requiring maximum shaker throughput. The intermediate phase introduces finer formation cuttings and different fluid properties as mud weight and chemistry are adjusted for increasing depth and pressure. The production phase demands the best separation quality to maintain the clean drilling fluid essential for the producing formation. Directional and horizontal sections accumulate fine drill solids that require consistent fine screening to maintain fluid properties. A shaker that performs well across all phases eliminates the need to change or supplement equipment as the well progresses.

Aipu Hunter series shakers are designed for this multi-phase versatility. The capacity range, from standard single-deck models to the Hunter-MG4D double-deck at 5.4 square meters and Hunter-MG4T tandem at 8.1 square meters effective screen area, ensures that adequate throughput is available for the high-volume surface hole while maintaining the capability for fine screening in deeper sections. Premium vibrating motors from Ital-Vibras, Martin, and Oli operate at 6.0G to 7.5G across all operating conditions, providing the consistent separation energy needed as fluid properties change through the well program. Adjustable deck angles from minus 1 degree to plus 5 degrees enable optimization for each drilling phase without mechanical modifications—steeper angles for high-volume surface sections, flatter angles for improved dewatering in deeper sections with expensive mud systems.

Screen compatibility across the full API mesh range supports phase-specific optimization. API 40 to API 80 screens provide the throughput needed for surface hole solids removal, while API 100 to API 200 screens support the fine separation required for production hole sections. The quick-change screen system enables rapid mesh changes as drilling transitions between phases, and progressive screen configurations accommodate the varying solids loading across the screen deck in each phase. Single shaker operation across all phases simplifies crew training, standardizes maintenance procedures, and reduces the spare parts inventory required for the solids control system. Dual-motion capability in the Hunter-MGD model provides additional phase flexibility, with linear motion for hard formations and elliptical motion for sticky shales. Manufactured in Aipu’s 50,000 square meter Xi’an facility under API Q1 certified quality management, these all-phase shakers deliver the consistent performance that drilling programs depend on from spud to total depth. Equipment operating in more than 30 countries validates the multi-phase capability of Aipu shaker designs across the full spectrum of global drilling operations.
