The return policy for shale shaker equipment defines the conditions, procedures, and terms under which Aipu Solids Control accepts equipment returns. This policy balances customer flexibility with practical considerations of equipment value, reconditioning requirements, and commercial fairness.

Industrial equipment returns differ fundamentally from consumer product returns due to the value, complexity, and operational history of the equipment involved. Aipu return policy acknowledges these differences with provisions that are commercially reasonable while providing customers with appropriate return options when circumstances warrant. The policy distinguishes between new unused equipment, commissioned equipment, and equipment subject to the satisfaction guarantee discussed separately.
New Unused Equipment Returns
Equipment that has not been installed, commissioned, or operated may be returned within 30 days of delivery. Returned equipment must be in original condition with all factory packaging, documentation, and accessories complete. Aipu inspects all returns to verify unused condition before authorizing credit. A restocking fee applies to cover inspection, repackaging, and inventory management costs. Shipping costs for returned equipment are the customer’s responsibility unless the return results from Aipu error in order fulfillment. This provision addresses ordering errors or project changes that occur before equipment deployment.
Commissioned Equipment Returns
Equipment that has been installed and operated presents more complex return considerations due to diminished value from use. Returns of commissioned equipment are evaluated case by case based on operating hours, condition assessment, and the reason for return. Equipment subject to the satisfaction guarantee follows the defined remedy provisions of that guarantee. Other circumstances such as project cancellation after commissioning require individual evaluation and negotiation of appropriate terms reflecting the equipment condition and commercial circumstances.
Return Authorization Process
All equipment returns require advance authorization from Aipu. The return authorization process begins with a written request describing the equipment, reason for return, and desired resolution. Aipu reviews the request against the policy provisions and the equipment history, then issues a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number if the return qualifies. Equipment returned without RMA may be refused or subject to additional handling charges. The RMA process ensures that returns are properly documented, tracked, and processed efficiently.
Inspection and Credit Issuance
Returned equipment undergoes thorough inspection upon receipt at Aipu facility. Inspection verifies equipment identity against RMA documentation, assesses condition against declared condition, and determines reconditioning requirements. If inspection findings match return authorization assumptions, credit is issued within 30 days of receipt. If discrepancies exist—for example, damage not declared in the return request—Aipu notifies the customer with adjusted credit terms for approval before final processing. This inspection process ensures fair treatment for both parties based on actual equipment condition.
