Pre-Start Inspection

Before energizing the shaker, complete a thorough visual inspection. Verify that all shipping restraints and shipping bolts have been removed. Confirm that the shaker is level and properly secured to its support structure. Check all electrical connections for tightness and correct phase rotation. Inspect screen panels for shipping damage and ensure proper installation and tension. Verify that all guards and safety interlocks are in place and functional. Document the pre-start condition with photographs for reference.

Electrical Commissioning

Verify supply voltage matches motor nameplate specifications. Confirm phase balance within acceptable limits using appropriate test equipment. Test emergency stop functionality and safety interlocks. Verify control panel functions including start, stop, and any variable speed controls. Document electrical measurements for baseline reference and future troubleshooting. Aipu provides factory electrical test data in the equipment documentation package for comparison.

Mechanical Commissioning

With screens installed, start the shaker briefly and verify smooth, balanced operation. Check for any unusual noise or vibration indicating mechanical issues. Measure and record vibration frequency and amplitude for comparison with factory baseline data. Verify deck angle adjustment mechanism functions properly through its full range. Confirm that all fasteners remain tight after initial operation.

Operational Verification

Introduce drilling fluid and verify uniform flow distribution across the screen surface. Confirm that cuttings discharge properly without accumulation. Check for any fluid bypass around screen seals. Verify that all fluid returns are properly routed to downstream equipment. Monitor operation for an extended period to confirm stable, consistent performance before handover to drilling operations.
