While standard single-deck shakers typically provide 2 to 3 square meters of effective screening area, high capacity models incorporate multiple decks and larger individual screen panels. Aipu’s high capacity offerings include the Hunter-MG4D double-deck configuration with 5.4 square meters of effective screen area per unit, and the Hunter-MG4T tandem configuration that combines two double-deck units for a total of 8.1 square meters of screening area. This expanded area, combined with optimized flow distribution that uses all available screen surface, enables processing of the high flow rates characteristic of large-diameter surface hole sections and high-rate drilling programs without compromising separation quality.
Vibration technology in high capacity shakers must be engineered for the increased mass of larger screen decks and higher cuttings loads. Aipu equips its high capacity models with premium vibrating motors from Ital-Vibras, Martin, and Oli selected and matched in pairs for the specific model and application. These motors operate at 6.0G to 7.5G of acceleration, generating the aggressive vibration needed to convey heavy cuttings loads efficiently while maintaining fluid drainage through the screen panels. The basket structure, validated through finite element analysis, is designed to maintain rigidity under the combined weight of large screen decks, fluid loads, and high-G vibration. Adjustable deck angles from minus 1 degree to plus 5 degrees on each deck provide independent control of cuttings conveyance and fluid retention time.
High capacity does not mean compromised separation quality. Aipu high capacity shakers are compatible with API 40 through API 200 screens in both stainless steel and composite frame options, supporting fine screening applications even at elevated flow rates. The quick-change screen system enables routine screen replacement without extended downtime. Progressive screen configurations—placing coarser screens at the feed end with progressively finer screens toward the discharge—optimize both capacity and separation quality.
